/ PREMIER PLI QUICK-LOOK PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: illustration to a theme, editorial copy
/ Premier Pli is an art and literature printed journal published by First Fold Books. Each issue has a different theme which the contributors must use as a basis for their submissions. Theory Unit was asked to create five images based on the following quote from William Morris, designer, socialist, and intellectual from England:
| "I do not want art for a few any more than education for a few, or freedom for a few." |
I was also asked to co-write the editorial for the issue which comprised work from a number of designers, artists, poets, musicians and writers. I wanted to focus on a kind of folk-art naivity that might be created by small outsider communities working to their own private, inward looking themes, culture and experiences.
